If they can make you believe
then you believe in make-believe
made up stories backed up without a lead
setting the stage for the curtains to fall
leaves us standing in the thought of it all
sold on what we will buy before we even try
to see if it’s a lie
why does the new milk make the baby cry?
the diagnoses comes from the other side
two taps later the child dies
the one who comes to comfort the mother is a spy
this story unfolds like clean sheets so new
there are still pleats
what has been written is not
for the weak only the strong will succeed
we know that a process straightens
the tangles beneath a weave
the course is the root that leads us
Toward the path of our dreams
taste it if you do not believe
looks like pudding could be ice cream
to be or to be got
which one will you be?
