BET told me that it is okay to sell drugs, rob, and kill
It is okay to consider college but they rather see us serve in the military
TBN will pray for me as long as I have monetary incentives
Fox News say people like me are too fragile and sensitive
CNN pretends to love me but thrives on my pain
Deflategate has seen more press coverage than the million homeless children in America
No wonder we are confused
If mass media were a person it would be a schizophrenic money hungry dude
My choices are truly limited
My school curriculums never spoke of Nat Turner, Mansa Musa, Marcus Garvey, or Black Wall Street
But I was relentlessly taught that the Pilgrims were glorious
The same group of individuals who killed off the Indians
My life is controlled by an unknown force which sits up high
But not higher than my God
