If it wasn’t for me struggling
All my disappointments and suffering
Built the will to strive and to keep me coming
Like a predator keep hunting
I used the scraps of nothing
To build and create something…
Straight from God’s blessings
He touched my soul, my very essence
Made me realize my gift and that I had a presence
Armed me with my motivational weapons
Each step I took my load lessens
As I learned and experienced life’s lessons
Prepared to answer the question
Is success for me predestined..?
As the riddle is starting to make sense
As I examine my evidence
Put it all in sequence
Will I make it happen is my suspense?
Can’t live questioning myself and with a heavy consequence
I am making doubt my past tense…
I looked in the eyes of the reaper
Once my soul keeper
Settled for less and was a sleeper
Never was to eager
Now I have the confidence and faith and I am a believer…
