With you it's like pulling teeth

With no effort you plant your feet
into concrete
Exposing your insecurities
From afar I've stood as a stable stature
Hoping one day that the problems we faced
wouldn't matter

Now I see the person you've become
I've realized that each day you wake
You place a mask on your face
It takes that much effort
to cover your deceitful ways

I blame myself for making that mistake
Letting you in so easily
after all the sh** you claimed

With you it's like pulling teeth
I have nothing to gain

I thought I knew you
but you changed

Lying within every 
conversation
Your so called love 

Unhesitating. 

Just an average life
You sit back and watch
As all good things pass you by

  Using your smile to your advantage

Like a snake in the grass 
You hold on tight to your victims

Speaking with an unfamiliar tongue
I watch as you'd manipulate those around 

Much like the serpent who rules the ground

You plan your attacks 

With silence 

Trying so quickly to justify your
Behavior 

I can’t stop thinking about the comment you made
"Keep your b**** on a chain"
A steady rhetoric for how you expect your lady to behave 


What a shame
The sh** that you say
Constantly eating your words
as you try and scrape 

For justice

All you have is each other


It must be like pulling teeth
Your foundation ruined and weak

You deflect your relationship
instabilities out on me


You were the one who screamed to be free
The one who casually cheat
Only to go back to the very thing
You said you wouldn't be



Just admit 

You've met your defeat
