Walking in footsteps

Frozen in time,

Echoes tickle memories

Ancestors left behind.

We’ve talked the talk;

Survive their treacherous jail;

Now we must walk the walk;

No longer is a brother for sale.

Look ahead along the jubilee road;

Freedom still remains before us;

And the past still carries the load.

In God must still remain our trust;

He has brought us thus far on the way;
