I do not listen.
She does not hear.
Raising decibels fails to make either more clear,
so we each slow our speech
like the other is perceived
to be aboard short, yellow transit.
Still, we fail to understand sh!t
the other has to say, but we care,
ultimately enough to persevere
and THAT eventually turns
our gray skies clear.
