I wrote this poem a few years ago when I was in a state of confusion about my life, and all of the corruption in

in the world that God was allowing me to see. In every area of my life, there was always people,and circustances

that was trying to hold me back. Until I cried out to the Lord. and asked for my own forgiveness for all of my 

shortcommings did I receive a Peace and understanding that we "we cannot change the universe", we can only 

change ourselves, and to accept the things we cannot change, but have the wisdom to  know the difference".

Bridle my tongue that I may not sin.  Oh Lord help me to  recognize my ways to mend

All the wicked is around, and I will not be caught up

My silence is my peace, eventhough in my heart I want to speak, but by your strength

within me I shall not be weak.  The power of the tongue gives life or death

Let me speak words that empowers myself.  I am frail, and weak, but I will continue this journey

for defeat, and know my end will be victorious, and the measure of my days will be mercyful and blessed

by the measure of my ways
