Serve and Protect With Dignity and Respect
After centuries of oppression and being misunderstood....
you still shout and cuss at me....
While patrolling my neighborhood
Now for a deeper analysis on an issue
That has gripped an entire nation....
My only question remains the reason
and manner.... Of the confrontation
The truth of events that followed...
May eternally be in dispute...
But... The fact another young black man is dead....
Begs the question.... did he have to shoot...?
Patrol car, siren, uniform and gun...
Fully equipped to serve and protect....
But in the process of doing this....
There should also be dignity and respect
"Gentle Giant" or "Angel"....
Is not a proper issue for debate....
We should never address anyone in a manner...
Which provokes them to become irate
Responsibility for ones' actions....
Yes...there's always a price to pay.....
Did one man pay too much..... While the other got away....?
Serve and Protect...
This call to duty should never be done creating strife...
Because…the very things being protected....
Are property....rights... and life.......
