Can I have a minute of your time, to reflex on our past,
I'm all grown now, so I bet you saying I grew up fast.
At a point in my life, I feel we don't talk like we should,
I'm not mad at you, I know you did the best you could.
As a child, I wanted to the love you hid in your heart,
But I honestly appreciate the fact, that we were never apart.
The questions I have you might care not to answer but I'll ask
Why was I not hidden from life, at least until the storm past?
How you say you miss me, when you never knew I was here?
Never saw my face, all the nights laid awake shedding tears.
You told me you loved me, but would not give me your name
Was it that you did not want me to grow up the same?
Didn't you know I wanted to be like you, no different?
Everyday I studied your word, to find out what you meant.
From birth, it was life lessons, were I had to teach myself 
Were you telling me, that I must trust my right and left?
A man now, I stand on my own, now histroy will begin
Rewrite the lost chapters, tell it to those born into sin.
Don't think I love you less, because of  the words I say 
I was selfish for wanting better, when you best you gave.
Begones be begones, I only hope that they are truly gone.
We both were granted new leases on life so, let's move on.
When heaven gates open I'll take your place, that's what JESUS would do
You can have my angels to remember my face, Just KNOW I LOVE YOU.............
