Music is my therapy
I get lost in the instrumentation
Drums let my body know it okay
To begin swaying
My head nods in perfect synchronization
As the snare, toms, and cymbals
Converse in their own special language
Then that clever bass line sneaks in...
My eyes are now closed
But my mind awakens
Each component of this composition
Has been carefully blended
And in this moment
My creative energy roams freely
Music allows me to vibrate at my highest frequency
It aids me as I write poetry
It pumps me up in the mornings
It captures my imagination
Even when life seems to be off balance
Music keeps my heart beating

I think Greek lore holds that both music and poetry are inspired by the Muses...you may be upholding an ancient Afrikan tradition co-opted by Greeks for all we know. Nice piece of work!
