This kingdom is cold without you
I've spent hours barefoot on marbled floors searching for your existence
Just for my search to come to no avail
I continue to look
Looking......... through every nook and cranny just to find something I've been told about but never truly experienced
Looking....... in every room hoping that you would be there
Looking......... behind glass doors that were not transparent hoping you would find me by surprise
Looking......... In the basement hoping that I would find you in the corner covered with cobwebs and dust because you haven't been found in so long but no
You weren't there.
They told me I could find you in the world but the truth is......... the world is looking for you too
I was looking........ for you in the bottom of alcohol bottles with names I couldn't pronounce
Looking...... for you in a brown wrap scented with grapes and strawberries that contained green to help me find you when I was blue
But they were wrong
So what does that leave me to do but continue to walk on the marble floors of this cold kingdom
Checking behind every door, checking every room twice and moreover
Searching for you, hoping to give you to the world, searching for peace.
