(Asked to define who I am)
one single being walking among numerous
but still standing alone in the trench
holding high my crown I begin to touch only on the surface
in finding the definition of me
soft spoken soul
captivated by the beauty that is earth
taken back by the pureness that still lives on through my offsprings
it is then I overstand that
there IS hope
curious individual with the taste for books
pens and scrap paper ransack my library
where a new thought ends another is just beginning
the thoughtfulness of actions
whether I am positioned where I want to be
versus where I need to be
envisioning the future and my role in it
I can only articulate so much
at this point
