Mind Melding

Distant tracks obscured by years, 

too far gone tears and fears

you are no longer there for me

one way or another, too much... 

hidden from mindsight 

by overgrown thoughts and schemes

in the attic of half forgotten dreams 

looking back through the music in my mind

until a spontaneous 

burst of adrenaline

picks the lock of a hiding spot 

for special memories

which had to be extinguished 

because they're just too hot

to carry in my thoughts 

not to burn down the library 

because the candle

i kept burning just for you

would on occasion burn out of control

being on life support was not permissible

so i  triple sorted...

When first we met

A reality disrobed (i thought, will this be you and me?)

you rocked me back to the stone age that's a fact

So i tore off my animal skins jumped naked into battle, 
swinging my club to beat the competition into submission

you studied my swinging act so rapt
your body rocked the missing notes between

i looked you dead in the eyes
did you Dare, shake that thing in my face
(you damn sure did)

Say, hey there back that thing up
you must not know your place

i am the Wiz in this dang place
the DJ dropped a mad beat

it was like slowly dropping that limbo stick
our bodies rocked lower ...then lower

the beat grew louder, 
slower... stopped

then everybody in the place jumped in
rolled in dropping it like it was hot

so mad you met me stroke for stroke
i knew then you'd be my queen...

When it rains

Lightning flash...

a brief deluge suddenly erupts

with a hailing of

powerful screaming winds approaching from afar

then, just as its catching up...

thunderous growl deep extending angry roar

like an angry beast in the heat of battle

joins in other intense bursts of lightning

and thunder

and lightning and thunder

fill the air with frightening explosions

followed with the background music

of leaves, rustling to the winds song

shaken, cries for mercy

perhaps torn, then tumbling further beyond,

as the serenade of raindrops

play orchestral rythms on everything in its path

A natural music which sets the mood for things

of nature that we do in whispers

Frogs do their thing... in chorus 

 as hand in hand, walking in the rain

getting hot and wet

We greet each other with a kiss,

Light years away

When first we met I didn't have a clue

There seemed nothing i could do

 so, i waited... 

marooned on a tiny island

Amber eyes glittering in the dark,

Golden skin glistening with emotion

Subtle scent of magnolias 
In her honey coloured hair

Captured an essencial truth
