Vulnerable vultures feast upon the carcass in the riot,
Moved by their verbs of rebuking the violence,
Resentful patronage mugs the face,
Crack of the house fills the place,
Wipes clean windows in the dense of the smog,
Haze flare tempers from the barks of the dog,
An abandonment of the children join in on the hurt,
A mother gone hooking for the drug that works,
Men introduce themselves as members of the family,
Taking the girls to be tramps of their daddy,
Getting crack is a cost you’ll have to pay,
By the lesser evil of what is today,
A crack house holding members of the club,
Relationships gone sour because of the thug,
Inclined to this hole a portrait sits,
A picture of hope in a time like this.
