I was in love once

It over took me

Surrounded me, held me

Tighter then I have ever been held before

Two heartbeats…just two

Entwined in a vine of possibilities, lying under rays of hopes and dreams

Paths that were able to be…anything that they wanted to be.

Now when I look into the mirror…the only thing I see is a shadow of you

Your touch no longer lingers on my cheek.

Your heartbeat is so faint; it is as if it was never here

Your laugh…so distant I find myself straining to listen for it.

I thought you had me

In my mind I felt that we understood one another

That there was nothing that I could tell you that you would not be capable of understanding

I am numb, confused by the levels of truth, fulfillment, misplaced by the balance of life

Lost in a world that only has me in it.

If I had a chance to tell you how much I miss you would you accept what I tell you?

Sometimes I wish that I could wake up from this dream

At times I wonder why I write these things

A wonderer, who is looking for peace

Lost between time…and misunderstandings
