I am trying to remember the lyrics to some of my favorite songs. I thought I could remember but oddly I can not. The use of modern technology doesn't help without the names. Songs rarely heard on todays radio station There aren't many cd stores around anymore Most people I ask for recollection ask why don't I just download them. That just takes away from the feeling altogether, I tell them. That plastic disc spinning around and around. Headphones blaring, alone. Eyes closed, listening to memories trying my best to relive them. The thoughts that come and go. Vinyl is just too hard to come by now days. The good ones at least. I hear bits and pieces of these songs but can't remember the lyrics. I remember the last cd I brought. I couldn't wait to get home and listen to it. Within the first hour, I scratched it. I listened to three songs before I started to hate my life. Reminded of love, now gone. Lost without a receipt, huge crack in the cd case. It was still a beautiful thing, you know. All the beauty it possessed on the inside. I tried one of those repair thingys, you know. The one that guarantees to repair scratches. I had another glimpse of happiness but Just as I thought. It was another gimmick. Not discrediting the artist, but just wasn't my style. I miss the feeling music use to give you. I mean it still exists but music now days is just too shallow. It takes a while to find a quality made cd. Especially all marked down in this bigcontainer
