Feelings often come rushing As the phone lights up. The convenience of a hand sized phone. The thought of missing a person so. Now a direct line that vibrates through phone cases and lint filled pockets. A sudden thought, waiting for a simple call Or text. The supreme power vested in you Symbolic of the thoughts that linger of availability. Your calls give such delight. I honestly can't explain the feeling. The jolt of energy expressed in emoji's Both physically from my face, to the screen of the phone. Expectation recedes reality as most times the screen remains dark. eligible due to active participation This flash of light is nowhere to be found the times I just want to hear your voice. Tired of waiting, I call to express such emotion. Subliminal thoughts that reveal How much I love talking to you. Whether the subject stands political as a democracy in love, Or the dictatorship of anger. Contrasting freedoms Voices raised high. Soon to calm into the smooth hush of what we're doing later. In Either case, I can't lay my head down without hearing your goodnight. A small text that symbolizes concern. A whisper that stimulates the electricity shot through antennas Soon received by our phones and opened as a small gift.
