The first thing I met was her eyes.
To much dismay, I admit I was profoundly terrified.
Given the territory I trotted.
I never knew the kindness of hands.
I watched, just as she had watched me.
Curious of the effect her eyes had on me.
Mistaken for a worm, I felt the throb of her heart echo beneath my feet.
Before that moment I've never known the fear of earthquakes.
Startled I flew away, but not far.
The rumble in my belly still resided.
Mistaking the rumble of her heart as food.
Still in view, I continued to search for food.
The aftershock of her heart still bellowed beneath my feet.
Suddenly, she blew an array of kisses towards me.
Not knowing the pleasure of lips. I pecked the ground looking to quench the hunger that resided in my belly.
