then maybe love, I could teach him

Imagining the oil as I paint portraits of I....with him
although I stray, hoping eventually someday....It'll be me with him
He just doesn't understand
But only, again, if he were my man
Perhaps then he'd understand
that for him I'd do all I can
Visions of gazing into the ocean while we stand together on dry land
Intertwining fingers as we sculpt our names together in the sand
But.....he's not my man
Regardless, for him I would still do all I can
You see, unfortunately yet fortunately I love that man
And I believe that one day again , I'll be his woman and he'll be my man.
I may be living in a fantasy world, lets just say its something I feel in my bones
The love I have for him is indescribable....lets just call that a Love Jones
In my heart it's right yet in my mind sometimes... it's wrong
Ironically he is inspiration for all my melodramatic love songs
I cant stop doing all I can because I love him unconditionally
If only he knew how many tears I shed praying he'd view the situation differently
Just by persuading him to see the beauty of what I could see
Impatiently yet patiently awaiting another opportunity
to be his rib, backbone...holding him up to where he needs to be...
Question is...will the opportunity ever come
Lord knows, I try my best to be done
I keep getting drawn in by thoughts of how blissfully this could be done
Other times, I will admit, I feel vaguely compelled to run
The thoughts hold me captive of me being his moon and him being my sun.
Still holding onto the moment I looked into his eyes when we first came to know
In the eloquent words of the songwriter...... “He had me at hello”......
Cant help but to feel that together, better, we would grow
My heart screams that abundance we would reap, and prosperity we would sew....
If only he knew what I know
Or if he tried to know what I know
I promise you if you let me in, you'll never regret
My loving is as good as it gets
I know the past was rocky, but just let me love you
Once again, we can be the stars of the show.... and let our love debut
