Drawing Inspiration

Today, I pictured a face, with eyes etched a dark grey. Delightful round cheeks traced with heavy lead. I smudged the lines drawn for hair along with light strokes for definition. Hanging over the rounds of your ears. A minor thickness, using the eraser to perfectly place strands of hair behind your ears. The alluring shadows used to fill your eyes. blank spots of paper left untouched, Further bringing out your smile. The fullness of your lips. Heavenly to taste. This calmness that brings about the softness of their glare. The steady movement from the sharpness of a now dull pencil. Grains of lead illustrating the first thing that comes to mind when my eyes close, Indulging in the stencil of your thought. An easily therapeutic release of what's kept inside. One not so easily captured by the conveyance of words. A neutral meeting between black and white lines, That long for the fulfillment of the bright, vibrant colors used to draw inspiration from the thought of you
