A dozen fireflies fluttering in an glass jar of utter combustion.
Not knowing what to feel.
The flicker of lights, bumping into one another.
Do they notice, the electricity that flows within them,
expanding with each touch.
The implosion that occurs,
The obstruction of eyes, longing without notice.
Immediately burning in everlasting convulsion.
The throb of gentle hearts, spiraling in devotion,
Lit fuses that hum in unison.
Replacing one another as soon as the other burns out.
Her love is chaotic, a jar of fireflies waiting for the top
to be twisted off.
The exodus of everything kept inside
