Scribbled Chalk

She's beautiful, just the way she is. The manifestation of eyes resting inside one another. Light steps made on top the grooved pavement. The very chalk used to scribble our names, steady. Grounded. Becoming small then large, The patience of flawed hands trace the outline of eternity. Oversized ovals drawn lapping each other. With bright shades of pink and blue, petite colors that stretch across the sky, Expanding at the waist. Bright dust covered fingers reach to touch your face. The smearing of chalk across your cheek. Above the mantle of your smile. I drew my heart on the ground as a token of my love. As you helped me color in all the spots that were bare. No longer dust blown in the wind
