Everybody and his brother is out stepping along

in this summer-like day in the dead of winter.

At every corner I see men of different hues--

not fighting but "five-ing".

Such a beautiful day, and

Here's H. Rap Brown walking with a white woman--

A bluebird sings from Rap's shoulder and diamond

lights sprinkle from the woman's neck and fingers--

And there's Uncle Remus hastening toward a bench.

"Got some new tales, some wonderful new tales,"

he calls, gathering his arms all around...
