Bring your spouse, momma and children,
The IND has a 'lil something for all of them,
Don’t sleep on IND cuz Hooisers call it “Naptown”,
Anything you-want to do In the IND-it can be found,
Plan a trip, to a city that’s close and quick,
“Crossroads of America”,
Stay a day then DIP!
Your flight just landed,
Well-Welcome to the airport,
This is the IND ride,
And I’ll be your passport,
We have a few hours before you have to check-in,
Let’s drive around 465,
And take the city in,
Want a bite to eat?
'cause Indy’s got it all! - Great seafood and steak,
Anything that swims or craws,
Shrimp cocktail at St. Elmo’s - WOW! what a sensation!
Or, get some grub downtown at Union Station,
Circle Center Mall, so much more in store,
Kids love the Children’s Museum and the Eiteljorg,
The big game is on Sunday, let’s not forget,
Lucas Stadium, NFL, and Super Bowl 46,
See, hear, taste, feel, and breathe,
N-D-A-NO-PLACE, but the I.N.D!
Two years ago,
Two friends of mine,
Asked me if the IND,
Was just a waste of time,
Listen to the rhyme that I told them both,
Then write it, bite it, recite it, and feel free to quote,
Back when the IND was just new to me,
Others asked “is it cool?"
I said indubitably!!!
1825, inspired by Pierre L’Enfant,
Made to be exciting and yet nonchalant,
But now, how can we ride in the IND,
And I neglect to check the best sites to see?
Broad Ripple, Friday night,
Hit the clubs, hear the hype,
Landsharks and Slippery Noodle Inn,
Grab a brew,
With the crew,
Party till they close – I think it’s 2!
Best tacos and nachos,
Its Acapulco Joe's,
Cheese Burger or Sushi,
Scotty's Lakehouse or H2O,
Soul food, finger licking,
College Ave, Kountry Kitchen,
Fast food, hot plate,
Diminutive fries, Steak and Shake,
For even less of a hassle,
Drive thru any White Castle,
No stress, good wine, taste test,
Easley Winery is the best,
But I digress,
May I suggest?

Check out the INDY Speedway,
Looking for love?
Here's a good place to start,
It’s on display @ the Indiana Museum of Art,
Broadway all day, Clowes Hall and the Murat,
Amateur sports capital of the world,
Where, you can ball, bike, hike, swim, shoot and curl,
Colts, Pacers, and Fever will make you into a believer,
Watch our guards and receivers,
Score and beat the other team,
Live vicariously thru their actions,
Become a part of their dream,
It’s all or nothing cousin,
Nothing else is in between,
When you’re in the 317, you gotta root for the IND!
Yell defense when it makes sense,
Then when your team wins,
You can celebrate the date with your family and friends,
See Indianapolis is fabulous,
Grab a cab and ride in this,
Big city action, small town feel,
Your dollars last longer,
Weekends are a steal!
Explore the IND, and for a nominal fee,
Get so more than you can imagine,
Man, so much more to see,
This ain't no train, so keep your spare change,
Rather it’s an enigma, ‘cause it can't be explained,
Something strange,
When the IND gets under your skin....
You can feel a change in your direction,
Like sails in the wind...
It's the IND ride!
These rhymes to me are more than advertisements,
Its love for my city plus tourism encouragement,

To Carmel, Haughville, Speedway and back to the Fair,
