I saw NFL games on TV being played,

Mental, spiritual, emotional and physical diseases plagued us for centuries like the bubonic,
Plague, Black Death, long term effects we cursed like a voodoo hex,
Plantations were replaced by the industrial prison complex,
Our future should be a destiny manifest,
Being survivors from a long line of survivors was the ultimate test,
Against all odds, given nothing, we invented America.
But they keep us uneducated and depressed,
Frustrated and in debt,
Doped up and locked down because they're scared of what's next!
