The bereaved cannot conceive,
Of the phrase, "Administrative Leave",
No arrests, cops still get paid, despite what the video shows,
The media makes excuses: gold teeth, illegal DVDs, criminal record, baggy clothes,
We went from hope, fear, anger, frustration,
Depression,"body and dash cameras", and promises of legislation,
You can march 'till your feet bleed,
Tweet and hash-tag, until they decide to read,
But what will change?
Nothing.
I'm numb but still want to do something,
What if I protest and loot?
Buy a gun, go to the range, practice and shoot,
Gun or no gun, minding my business, plenty there to witness, hard fact,
When I get pulled over, I'll be just another ni@@a shot in the back.
