I do not wish to be labeled by the color of my skin
Seen as a kid whose future is more profitable behind bars then a desk
I do not wish to be remember by a hashtag or a pretty face on a white T
Have the world tell me this is my worth when there isn't any for happiness can not be bought nor sold
I do not wish for my mother & father to bury me before their own grave
Or my mentioning the word father puzzling some in the line before
I do not wish to be symbolized as a movement when the world refuses to move
For it'll take courage to find the racism that hides in the dark while the world sleep with night lights
I do not wish for many but wishes can only go so far...
