All those wants that we fiend,
The most desirable of people, places, and things,
Once we feel, reach, and use them it seems,
Less grand and important than we originally deemed,
Hype is the biggest crack pipe,
It lifts us up, pushes our luck, and makes us do things that ain't right,
So selfish despite worldwide poverty and blight,
As we wait in lines (for days) for tickets, gadgets, and Nikes!
But seldom pray, volunteer, vote, and work for what's right,
Do we not care? Are we too lazy? Or do we just believe the hype?
