The cautionary tale of brother Quaku

The story of brother Quaku is a cautionary tale, Of what not to do, and how to fail, An internship in corporate America, As an African American its a test of character, I only spoke to him a few times, good guy, he went to Howard U, I went to Hampton, clearly the better school (lol), His actions and termination are the stuff of corporate lore, Before I tell you what happened, allow me to illustrate what happened before, I was assigned to mentor another intern who was Asian and had a pleasant disposition, She told me a few days prior that brother Quaku was offered a full time position, He boasted about his achievement to all his peers and one must have been crossed, Someone knew about brother Quaku's secret and promptly notified his boss! He'd walk past my cubicle daily in the early afternoon, He must eat lunch late, I reasonably assumed, The next day, everyone was talking, with a hint of glee and shock, Quaku's new boss found him sleeping under desk and fired him on the spot! If you are ever tired at work, drink some coffee and remember the story of our fallen intern star, Take a half sick day or go take a nap in your car! Years later white folks at work still can't believe his unmitigated nerve, Running joke if some looks sleepy the're doing a Quaku - dude became a verb!
