Everybody has their own perception of love
They think its the white pickett fence and wedding bells, the release of white doves.
They think its all fun and games, smiles and cheers
Loving each other more than you love your careers.
But thats not always love, thats not always reality.
Sometimes love is taking the bullet for somebody so they wont become a casualty.
More realisticly, love is sacrificing time
Understanding that if I scratch your back, I know that even if you cant, you'll do what you can to scratch mines.
Love is losing sleep
Creating a list of things to do but you put your things in progress on hold so the other persons requirements can be meet.
Love is what I did for you
I understand that small things happened and those things I hid from you
But I still continued to press on
When you would get mad cause I wouldnt take you to get your nails done and when you did, you scratched the color of and got press ons
Love is working a 12 hour shift and having the tiest of days
Just to scoop you up and make sure you was fed and even when I was tired I went out my way.
Love was me feeling comfortable enough to come to you with my life decisions
Asking you, my woman to tell me how you feel and I listen to your opinions.
Love is telling you that I was afraid that another women was making advances
And the shield surrounding the fortress of our love was getting weak and the enemy was ready to attack whenever it saw chances.
Being able to tell you that had been giving offers by other women knowing I was already under contract
Knowing the agreements and their terms and eveb though they sounded good, I continue to re sign with you.
Love..... is seeing each others names in the raptures after we both retired from the games
