Death in love

From afar you were a treasure

The diamond in the rough

(There was no one better)

You instantly had me captivated

With your sweet charm

I was elated

The moment those hands

Caressed my body

There was a melody

That never stopped playing

I gave in

So quick to your lust

Thought I was falling in love

Your proposal to make me

Your wife

Disappeared

Along with my life

(As I knew it)

You drew me in

In order to fulfill

The fanatic sins

You had up your sleeve

Like a magician

You placed me in a box

Drawing the blood

(You came for)

My heart shattered

Into a million pieces

Feeling uneven

By your demons

Why'd you choose me

As your victim?

Thought you'd get away

Without question

The poison from

Your potion

Leaving me

Breathless

You smiled as you

Continued to unleash

The beast

Within your soul

My heart taking what it could

Before reaching overload

This monster

Consumed my flesh

(Doing the unimaginable)

My skin pressed

To stretch

The canvass

Of death

Blood spatter

Used to paint

The details

Of a love once

Lived.
