do i still ever cross your mind?

does the music we shared

replay in your mind from time to time?

do you still hear the words we spoke to

one another at one time?

do my eyes, my smile stain your memory,

do I still capture your heart?

do you ever think back to the long walks,

The long hugs… the not long enough kisses

we exchanged for love?

I think about you all the time,

there's not a time when you aren't on my mind.

I think back way too much,

too many time to count.

I look back on the path we walked hand and hand together,

young and foolish with our hearts in a our hands,

sweet and vulnerable.

we walked on the road we paved together,

the bridge we built with brick and stone,

we knew it would stand tall,

how strong it is.

I think back to when you introduced me

to things I had never imagined doing and now,

I can't live without.

I think back to the first time we looked at each other,

the first time I smiled at you and you happily smiled back.

the first time our souls met,

the first time you blinked those big, curious eyes at me,

your face bright with the mindset that I wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.

do you ever think back to when we were a we?

do you ever think of me the same,

no matter what happened between us,

no matter what words were said between us in the far past?

I want you in my future, I want to be in yours.

do you think we can walk the same path again,

do you think we will ever love again?
