Repentance

Create in me a clean heart

Wash me whiter than snow

I’m at the end of my rope

I’m slowly losing my grip

And I have nowhere else to go

My friends are few

And I don’t what to do

The ones I thought loved me so dear

Are nowhere near

So I am standing hear

A broken woman

Your prodigal daughter

In need of God’s healing water

Take me back to how it use to be

Back where you first called me

Back where I first loved you

I want to feel your presence once again

Help me find way back to your light

My sins have caused me to lose sight

It is impossible for me to win this war

When your presence is so far

You are my heart’s desire

Please ignite my fire

Draw me closer to you

I want to see your face

I want to thank you for saving grace

If it wasn’t for you I don’t know where I’d be

Take me back to how it use to be

Back where you first called me

Back where I first loved you

I want to feel your presence once again

I know how you feel. He never leaves us, it is us who go astray, but we can always back to Him. He is our saving grace. Love sis <3

Beautiful. The sound of repentance never goes without beauty and meekness. Thank you for sharing this, sis. This is what poetry is about.
