I question my beauty because I gained some weight,
I question your faithfulness because it’s me you chose to date.
I question your ability to love all my flaws,
I question your ability to handle my withdrawals.
Been through so much I just want to feel complete.
I never want to feel I’ll have to compete.
Are you really happy with the person I am?
Do you really consider me as your best friend?
You make me feel good when we are together,
I just want to feel secure that this may be forever.
Nothing is guaranteed, it’s hard to keep a promise,
I need your reassurance to feel the calmness.
When I look in the mirror I want to smile at myself,
Not pick at all the things I’ll change if I had wealth.
I think about my man and I wonder about me,
Am I the only woman whom he wishes to be with?
I get in my feelings and it drives me insane,
I hate feeling like I am in a guessing game.
I’m insecure about my body which includes my weight,
Insecure about my relationship with the man I chose to date.
I want you to look at me and think I’m the one,
I wonder if you look at me and think I’m just for fun.
I want to feel secure that my weight gain was OK,
I want to know that no matter what your love will never change.
