Just a small part of my personal Black History
Loved to watch the mom
and her two sisters get together
they would build this square wooden frame
this the beginning of beautiful quilts
they would sit there bond like only
sisters can and I am talkin these
Ladies in their 80s I watchthey
cut out squares cut out patterns for
beautiful warm quilts
such a variety I have
the Indian star the basket the ring the sock
they sometime would show the
younger nieces how to put together
the pieces but many of these beautiful
people have moved on they were the ones
that kept their family warm
cant forget to say all did by hand
