Trying to get to the noodles under the cheese,
Asked mom not to put beans in the chili please,
But everyone else likes it that way,
So I push them to the edge of my tray,
Food's getting cold, it's going to be another long night,
I'm still at the table pretending to take another bite,
Six years old, I would gladly give it to the less unfortunate,
Parents disappointed about wasted money spent,
My napkin's full and my brothers and our dog are in the other room,
I hope mom and dad will let me watch some TV soon.
