If there's no expectations, theres no disappointments and no let downs
When I lay down to rest I know that I'll sleep sound
if there's no expectations I'm not holding my breath or getting my hopes up
just for the excitement to crash and burn and then I'm down in the dumps
I have no more patience for all the counterfeit clowns
that like to parade around
and act like they s*** renown
when in reality they scary and be the first to skip town
always talking meaningless garbage cuz their word is not there bond
And when it comes time to remind them they don't know how to correspond
as a matter fact they now have amnesia
they said what they said at that time just to please ya
or how about those who pretend for the sake of First Impressions
and to uphold a reputation nothing more than deception
the facade of perfection they think is their protection
they need to be injected with truth, too much for their digestion
it's time for an intervention, someone get a mirror they need a one-on-one with their reflection
the objective is correction which is going to require some inspection
come forth with your confessions don't be afraid to ask yourself questions
although you may face rejection just know you're headed in the right direction
a little bit of humility and humbleness are key --classes in session
but I'm not the teacher it's just a suggestion
