there's fire in the water
no one can swim sept
those who been to the crossroad
backstroking to hell and back
never seen God before
but can describe the devil to a T
never heard voices from heaven
but can hear demons screaming
at any intersection you can choose
which direction wrong or right
like dark days to frightful nights
a child screams turn on the light
I'm habitually afraid of the dark
but no one cares about monsters
in closets, hiding behind door
and under beds no one cares
about the scared grow up and
grow old and turn cold can't put
a price on a soul like a tagged toe
get rich or just die trying to do so
it's a sin to vow poverty money
is not the enemy the enemy is
burning currency the tides are high
the sea is deep where there
is smoke there is some heat
God don't like it when you play
with the devil the devil don't
like it when you talk to God
some are afraid to pray, praise
and worship others fear the
thought of lakes on fire
when we go we all will know
so light the candles and blow
