Remember I love you…
Love every hue of you
In fact
From Caramel
Cocoa
Red Bone
Chocolate
Cinnamon
Blue Black
Even White Chocolate
Cuz’ if Chocolate be in there
There’s some beautiful for me to love in that
I see the Blackened We
Have traveled past His story
God’s Glory
Got us through
Middle passage flashbacks
Slashes
Scars healed on our backs
From Master Whips
Proclamations for Emancipations
From Juneteenth 1965
To 2008 Freedom Cries
Love your Civil Rights marches
Your raised Black Power fist
Loved you even when you pressed
Permed
Greased
Watered and gel down
Your Afro
Dayuuuuum!
You got some hair trips…
Past heroin
Cocaine
Peddling crack
And Smoking dank sticks…
Still I love you…
Loved you when you were
a N#GGA
Negro
Colored
Black
Afro-American
Then African American
Even though I didn’t quite see the need
In correcting what was already a given fact
Loved you when you love being the American
But can’t stand the African in you
But I do…

I even love you
When you call me a  N&GGA
Cuz’ see I figure
Only a  N&GGA would do that
Sometimes, when you try my last nerve
I even call you a  N&GGA back!
What remains in tact is that
I love you
Remember…
I love you through
Youth mandated authorities
Juvenile delinquencies
Criminal minded exploratory
Over crowed with you penitentiaries
All the while trying to get you to see
You can’t really stand
If you still trying to be slick
Get over quick
Still trying to stay high
But can’t you see
You already know how to fly
How you gonna soar
If you ignore
The same set traps
You already fallen for?
Let me give you something
To be handcuffed to
A blackened undercover
Here come “One Time” definition
To ride in the back of
Be convicted by some Black Love
Be the first
Or the next one
To love something other than yourself
Be the first
To break the generational curse
Remind you to remember
I love you…

My Sistas  My Sistas….
I ain’t hatin’
Just stating
Those clothes skin tight
Less than mini
Almost ain’t any shirt/skirt

Tells me you already hurtin’
Even if I ain’t right

You might be attracting
The wrong one tonight
Creating a sty
Distracting your own or somebody else
Strong third eye to stay open
Sistas, I love you
I’m just hopin’
You love you too…
Brothas…
I love you…
All the while
Your every style gives me a smile
Love every look of you
Even when you believe
The best you can do
Is a white tee
Some Nike
Oh, excuse me…
Some newest $200
Pair of Jordan tennis shoes
I love your thugged out pants hanging low
Even though I wanna pull that sssssshhhhhhh up
I am struck
By the respect and love I have for you
Knowing the true and real thugs
Wear $1000-$2000 dollar suits
See, I love you…
Love you through
You loving Me
While loving her
While loving she
Somehow, you sometimes needed
Made them your baby momma
Saving me from the drama
Like I wasn’t watching you
Like I wasn’t right there with you going through…
I see…and I loved you
Still do…
I WILL STILL LOVE YOU!
Brotha
You are my morning star
My Sun
Sista
You are the crescent
Quarter
Half
Full Moon
Where the light of Darkness comes from
Love you from
North
West
South
And Far Off East
From the Heavened Sky
To the Ocean Deep
We are the Alpha and Omega
I see the God in you
YES!
That is the first and the lasting memory
Of why I will always love you

Our wealth be infinite
Already God divined
Already Ancestor sent
God knows
What I know
It ain’t no secret
So, I’ma tell it
If you wanna tell somebody
Please do
I love you
Ain’t that enough?
Won’t ever be enough
Can’t ever be enough!
I love you…
Love every hue of you
In fact
From Caramel
Cocoa
Red Bone
Chocolate
Cinnamon
Blue Black
Even White Chocolate
Cuz’ if Chocolate be in there
There’s some beautiful for me to love in that
I see the Blackened We
Have traveled past His story
More importantly God’s Glory God knows
What I know
It ain’t no secret
So, I’ma tell it
If you wanna tell somebody
Please do
Remember to tell them
I
LOVE
YOU
