When did everything get to be in such a hurry
It seems like we are being crushed under the weight of power
And the more advertiserties we overcome, the more they find
And the harder we climb
The shorter of lives and the less time with our children and wives
When did it happen, things move at such a fast pace
With an oddity of a race with no recognized winner
Today is the day
I want it queit and slow - and then knowing whats for dinner
I noticed my daughter smile today. It was the best 10 seconds of my day
And later that night - before she went to sleep I prayed.
And this day was so precious to me.
Just glad that I took the time to PAUSE.
