In this dystopian future that we live in
Much is taken and nothing is given
Every truth we learned was a lie
Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and the 4th of July
Colonies rebelled and got freedom but why can I?
I get taxed and treated wack
Make and own less just because I’m black
Where’s my apology and retribution?
Y’all more concerned about the economy and pollution
Never seems to be the right time to do right by us
