Poverty stricken,

three days to vacate,

no place for a heart

homed in the dark.

Bench in the park,

heads rested against slinters,

sharp dreams,

thorns pricking the rose's petal.

Attractions unsettled,

emptying eye's dam,

an unpretty pouring,

Mississippi mud.

Uncertainty is a flood,

displacing the mirror,

on the outside looking in

on how the storm should have went.
