A little brown girl knows her worth

There once was a little brown girl, and she knew she had self worth

She would walk for hours just to say hi to the lady bus driver 

at one of her stops

This lady had enstilled in her to dream and always think big

This lady told her one day she would be something great

The little girl didnt have much, but she would often bring the lady flowers from her mom's garden

This little girl saw something in each flower she picked

And, the bus driver would often tell her how much she enjoyed each one of them

 they often talked about the little girls  beautiful brown skin

A skin that had the hue of hint of almond chocolate

A skin so silky and smooth and lovely to behold

For the girl had never heard this until her chance meeting with the bus driver.
