I tried to love with a broken heart
believing it would fix itself while
tinkering with the heart of someone else
I was trying to fix but couldn't fix myself
"God knows" I was trying to help myself
to what's freely given to those
who desire it the most
I threw the best parties
I was a grand host but
when all the guest left
I cried the most
