I didn't see any of us in Bedrock
come to think of it
I didn't see any of us flying around
diamond in the back
sunroof tops
diggin the solar scenes with the gangsta lean
in those cute little space ships the Jetsons parked in their cute little space garage
now let me get this straight
we weren't there in the beginning
no sign of us in the future
just a minute...
I think I did see one of us for a second or two

with the cool ghetto walk
and lopsided afro hair"
and then there was
"I'm silly and stupid
so I guess it's alright
I'm the lazy and shiftless
kid dynomite!"
and then I saw a few more of us every Saturday afternoon at the Fabian
they dressed funny
drove big Cadillacs with fuzzy dice and fur lined interiors
they drank hard
and slapped their women harder
when they weren't turning tricks fast enough to keep their pockets lined with cash and coke
and it was all over
when they all took out guns and shot each other
until no one was left

but as soon as I had seen them
they disappeared
and I was left with the Bradys

and the Dukes from Hazzard
with the Waltons down yonder
it was as if we were just commercials
no one really pays attention
