I wanted to love you
Bare the brunt of the world
And use its elements to shape existence for you
I am told I am made in gods image
So i should possess a fraction of his power for creation
To shape and mould a world to capture your smile
A world for you to frolic in
and let glee possess you only for a while
But I
I
I am not my brothers keeper, nor his protector
for a wicked world swallowed his innosence
and left a shell for us to carry,
a shell battered and bruised
with a trinkle of saddistic intentions and greed.
Coated with thorns which spew poison
at the slightest prick,
oh that prickly exterior covered with decite
for onlookers to be hypnotized at first sight.
Existing in a different world
though born of one womb
The trajectory of time grants us a different life to hold
But your existence is to covet
Possess and hold what's not gifted to you
Ill begotten gains which leave my heart broken
So I am not my brothers keeper
For my brother stole his place in my heart
Simply by breaking it
