When it begins, it is easy to find
Reasons and ways to share and stay
Years later, as the newness wears, there’s less time for play
A lot more work, hurt, give and take
More hide and seek, less ‘patty cake’
This is when
If your love is also your friend
Love can persevere
To withstand regret, temptation, and fear
But I have no clue, of what to do, once it is no longer here…
