I visited my old home in Rum Gully
and I sat on Momma's bench today.
Dusty, old, falling apart~
but it seems like just yesterday:
Momma peeling tomatoes to can~
I am sitting there too.
Momma peeling as I ate
and smiling as I chewed.
~~~ ~ ~~
Memories of that old bench
grow sweeter each day.
In daydreams I see Momma~
' seems like just yesterday.
