Before sinners began to turn away
We were moving, causing universal sway.
A prayer for the sakes of delivery of memory
Guaranteed on-times, and lost lines redefined
We dance and pance from dusk to dawn in song
Watching the least face east for the very first time
Elders keep steps in a slide, empowered by drums
Dust rises and fauna mimic its rhythm with the ONE
Wetiko howl in silent envy as high noon illuminates
All shadows are temporarily imprisoned yet again within
The young tire under the sheer weight of the collective response
Discreet attractions reanimate as the sun moves past a quarter
Daughters and sons of the most righteous shield their views
Desiring to touch and spend time away from tribal review
The evening falls but the most faithful keep their dizzying pace
Darkness creeps in on the legs, slowly moving up backs turning to shrugs
Faces are sun drenched yet determined hold hands to increase security
For the night frees the shadow of the inside no longer bound by its own light
Young and old must keep company with the familiar desires that proliferate
Procreate in signs and designs that began from the earliest time, they dance
A new dance, a different trance, comingled, yet necessary for it is relative
Sleep returns for this also part of the spell that leads to recovery in dreams
Visions are kept in place as the race 2b reborn by the earliest light of dawn
Leads on to the blessing of recalling our place in the circle of habit that
Is the norm we treasure of the give and take for the next day of sun rays
that make all to SunDance again!
