May I, Adun aye mi, start the day by
hugging you as if it were the last time?
I will use that as you go off into society
aware of how you need always be mine.
I need to be reminded how your touch
makes my mind, body, and soul all align
to your virtue.
And while that is true I’d f**k this
world up if it were to ever hurt you.
Just mark my words if you should
hover on being my undying light, and
watch as I declare war with the
purpose of rejoining you again in yet
another life.
Be this a daily affirmation that I could
never love again if it is not with you.
For I won’t appease to the ask if your
distant heart should ever usher such a
cue.

Notes: Adun aue mi means
'The joy of my life', mainly in Southwest
African(Nigeria) using Yoruda language.
